Session 3 reflection

  Session 3 reflection Session 3 focused on e-learning trends in higher education. In the first part, I learnt about "Learning Analytics" and its implication on the PICs. Learning analytics helps in the development of better pedagogies and learning outcomes. It also enhances classroom teaching which enables building a stronger collaboration between the teacher and the student.  In addition to this, this session also elaborated on BYOD and mLearning. There are increasing capabilities of BYOD in the Pacific. With growing technology and investments in e-learning devices, it has been observed that a lot of students are now using their mobile phones and tablets in the classroom for learning purposes. Another trend that emerged recently in higher education is makerspaces. Through my observation in USP, small groups collaborations with a mentor, learning specialist and peers continue to grow.  The session also focused on AR and VR.
